The Lost Book Club -stern-, 19:33h
Our friends at Videodrom have the norwegian box of "Lost Season 3" on dvd now. It's got a nice extra-feature about the literary works, references or authors which have been mentioned on "Lost" so far. So, maybe you wanna discuss these books with other geeks over at The Washington Post Blog where the host the 'Lost' Book Club. They're discussing "Time for 'Time'" right now. There's also a blog about the books and whatever book Sawyer reads in whatever episode. That should keep you busy until the show returns. Read more books, don't waste too much time on YouTube. It eats your brain! Nonetheless, here's a clip for everyone, it's that great opening of Season 3, Episode 1, the first look "The Others". What do you need to know? These people are stranded on this island and two seasons later they realize they're not alone. There are these savages out there and "The Others" don't look like they read books. But, well, surprise, surprise! Have a look yourself:

Before Monty Python's tommyblank, 14:50h
I didn't know the DVDs were out already... Wikipedia: Do Not Adjust Your Set "(DNAYS) was a children's television series produced originally by Rediffusion, London, then by the fledgling Thames Television for British commercial television channel ITV from 26 December 1967 to 14 May 1969. (...) This was an early appearance of many actors and comedians who later became famous, such as Denise Coffey and David Jason; Michael Palin, Terry Jones, and Eric Idle later became members of the hugely successful Monty Python's Flying Circus. (...)The programme comprised a series of sketches, often bizarre and surreal, frequently satirical with a disjointed style which was to become more famous in the more daring Monty Python's Flying Circus, which followed five months later." Amazon: “Do Not Adjust Your Set” (2 DVDs) Wikipedia: At Last the 1948 Show: "David Frost personally approached John Cleese, Graham Chapman and Tim Brooke-Taylor, to star in a new television sketch series, and they suggested to him that Marty Feldman, who had been known only as a comedy writer (primarily for radio) up to then, be included in the cast. The series represented an important stage between the radio cult series of I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again and the television cult series Monty Python's Flying Circus and The Goodies, as well as leading to Marty Feldman's television comedy sketch series Marty (which included Tim Brooke-Taylor in the cast), when the conventional light entertainment format in which wacky comedy scenes were interspersed with popular songs was finally abandoned. Great new mini-series. It sounds very generic (bank, robbers, hostages, police etc.), but it's got quite a few surprises and Mister Wahlberg is doing an excellent job. Better watch Mr. Wolf's 'Serving His Country' Monologue: Mr. Wolf and Capt. Horst Cali face to face after SWAT's unsuccessful breach.

Berlin Alexanderplatz on DVD -stern-, 19:22h
Wikipedia: "Berlin Alexanderplatz, originally broadcast in 1980, is a 14-part television miniseries adapted and directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder from the Alfred Döblin novel of the same name, and stars Günter Lamprecht, Hanna Schygulla, Barbara Sukowa, Elisabeth Trissenaar and Gottfried John. The complete series is 15 ½ hours long.(...) Beginning in 2006, the series underwent restoration and remastering. Berlin Alexanderplatz: Remastered received its world premiere on February 9, 2007 at the Berlin International Film Festival for which episodes 1 and 2 were shown. The entire series ran on February 11 in five installments. A DVD set containing additional material was released in Germany on February 10, and will be released in America from the Criterion Collection before the end of the year." So, whenever that dvd-box is out, we will get it and show the whole damned thing, ok? Anyone

Black Books tommyblank, 16:21h
Wikipedia/ Black Books is a British sitcom broadcast on Channel 4 starring Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey and Tamsin Greig, written by Dylan Moran, Graham Linehan, Arthur Mathews, Kevin Cecil and Andy Riley and produced by Nira Park.
