INFO: Another Country is an English Language Second Hand Bookshop, which is mostly used as a library. We have about twenty thousand books that you can buy or borrow. You simply pay the price of a book, which you get back, minus a 1,50 Euro charge, should you choose to return it.
Another Country is also a club which hosts readings, cultural events, social evenings, filmnights and many other things.

My Winnipeg Guy Maddin What is outstanding about this 80 minute documary(docufantasia as Maddin likes to call it, is the use of the English language. My Winnipeg is not geared to youth, to children or those who had trouble making it out of high school with diploma in hand. It is English at its best, with words seldom heard in film, on television and almost never encountered in books, with the exception of Joyce Carol Oats who is a master of the English language... Holiday Hours

The Bookshop will be closed 24 - 29 December during the day with doors opening 7pm Friday the 26th for Boxing Day Dinner.

Normal hours Tue. 30th 11-8 pm Wed the shop will be closed during the day but doors will open 8pm for Informal Bunker hide out. Closed New Years day and back to normal hours on Friday
