You can't stop the music!

Wikipedia: "Can't Stop the Music is a musical comedy film directed by Nancy Walker in 1980. It is a pseudo-biography of disco's Village People which bears no resemblance to the actual story of the group's formation.

Released well after the disco craze had peaked in the United States, the film was a major critical and commercial failure and only did well in Australia. Since its initial failure, however, Can't Stop the Music has gained something of a cult status as a camp film. Can't Stop the Music was the recipient of the first "Worst Picture" award at the 1980 Golden Raspberry Awards."

Check out the artwork behind good old Desmond. Polar bear, upside down buddha...

One thing is for sure, this show is still very good at surprising it's audience.

"Lady Gaby's monthly international gathering of poets, artists and other highwaymen hardly needs introduction. If you have not yet been aboard this bohemian steamer, then this Sunday is your chance.

SUNDAY 11.2.06 FUEL at TRÖDLER BAR DRESDENERSTR. 123* 21:00 FREE OF CHARGE

(*it is the dark alley under the Kottbusser gate just next to the Babylon theatre)

We will be presenting our newest taunting composition and several equally mystifying songs.

The lately returned poetess Andy Snelling will be giving her first reading after her long exile.

and of course Lady Gaby will master the ceremony and perhaps favour us with her fervent verse.

We hope to see you there and until then remain your ever loving
