INFO: Another Country is an English Language Second Hand Bookshop, which is mostly used as a library. We have about twenty thousand books that you can buy or borrow. You simply pay the price of a book, which you get back, minus a 1,50 Euro charge, should you choose to return it.
Another Country is also a club which hosts readings, cultural events, social evenings, filmnights and many other things.

I don't speak German, but I have worked in two of Sydney's best second hand bookshops, as a writer in various capacities, and would love even a days work in your store? I fell in love with Berlin two years ago and am now looking for a suitable job that would help me get back there......Anyone?

The plan is to arrive in Berlin in July, with a little German under my belt, and enough money to last a few months - should no good fortune come my way.... but I see a situation like this potentially working well for everyone...

know jobs are few and far between in such a shop, but I do think I would bring something to it! ...it's not about the references. There are a lot of people coming by to ask for a job and, well, you know how it is, i guess. But we've always been good at networking and pointing people into the right direction.
