MOVIES:

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Wanna have a look at the first trailer? Ok, it's spanish, but they're not talking, ok? You know, it's by David Fincher (he's banned from the bookshop because of that thing with Tom.) and it looks like he had sex with the early Tim Burton (who is still welcome at the bookshop while the new, the remade and the all-new Tim Burtons are still banned.) And it's got Brad Pitt (one of our favourite regulars. He always comes to the bookshop when he's in Berlin because of the Krusovice) and Kate Blanchett (she's from Australia and her friends are pretty strong and that's why I wont tell you some amusing anecdotes from her youth...). And it's based on a story by F. Scott Fitzgerald (who used to be a favourite customer of the bookshop back in the old days when Alan still had a moustache) and you can read the story over here!

From The Exberliner: Two engaging artists take the stage at this month's Wednesday at Burger event. British writer Lewis Crofts reads from his biographical novel The Pornographer of Vienna, based on the life of Austrian artist Egon Schiele.

The reading is followed by a concert by Berlin-based Spanish songwriter J. Pastor Martin Rodirguez, a.k.a. El Caracol Velocista. The Tenerife native is a talented guitarist and nuanced vocalist who draws from funk, jazz, flamenco and bossa.
