so i forgot my password and had to register again. my name now is not Sister Chain, it is "Sister Chain says". And this is what i have to say: i need a matress - for my own bed (no futons, no king size, no indecent proposals) so please if anyone has being dying to get rid of one - come and dump it at my place. It can wait till tomorrow cause i am very excited about the fraggle night so probably won't get any sleep anyway.

TV:

Thursday, 12th of October - Pilots, Pilots, Pilots!

This night has it all, geeks! Come in and chat while a bunch of freaks are trying to watch videos in the backstage-room. The evening starts at 8:15. So, come in time if you wanna see, well, a 12 minutes long special about, well, the Fraggles! After that we'll discuss the cultural impact of this seasons hottest new shows "The Nine" and "Jericho" plus this weeks controversial 9/11-episode of "South Park" and season 3 of that show about an island. We also prepared a "Lost Survival Guide" for all the newcomers and around midnight Alan will tell you all you need to know about the last episode of "The Prisoner" to spoil the fun because we're gonna start showing all 17 episodes from now on.

There will be pretzels, cheese, bread and something close to Wurst. Be kind and donate some money or you wont get anymore pretzels, kids!

-Fraggles - How it all began As requested by "The Fraggle Girls"

-South Park - Episode 148: Mystery of the Urinal Deuce The world’s biggest conspiracy of all time will finally be uncovered as Eric Cartman finally reveals the true culprit behind the attacks on September 11th. More at tv.com

-Jericho - Pilot After a nuclear disaster caused by several terrorist attacks destroys most of America, residents of a small Kansas town must come to terms with a new and very different reality. More at tv.com

-The Lost Survival Guide - An Entertainment Weekly Special A beginners guide to the most popular drama on television. All you need to know about the island and it's mysteries. Meet the survivors and "the others", find out about the hatch and develop your own theory about WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!

-Lost - Episode S03E02: The Glass Ballerina Sun and Jin's lives are put into danger when Sayid decides to locate Jack. Meanwhile, Henry (i.e. Ben) gives Jack an offer that is very tempting. Lastly, Kate and Sawyer work and adjust to harsh conditions that they are being forced under by "The Others." More at tv.com

  • The Prisoner - Episode 1 'The Prisoner' is about a man who is kidnapped from his London home, and wakes up in a strange Village, where he is known only by the name Number Six.

Various Village Officers-in-Charge, always referred to as Number Two, set about trying to find out why Number Six resigned his job as a secret agent. Number Six is interrogated, brainwashed, and manipulated by the strange powers behind the mysterious Village. This intriguing series first went to air in 1968. It was ahead of its time then, and continues to intrigue today. It was very much the brain-child of Patrick McGoohan, who not only starred as Number Six, but was also instrumental in bringing the series to fruition. More at tv.com

FUEL: MR. DARIUS JAMES VS. THE UGLY AMERICAN

"Fuel", that fine series of readings, music and performance, has moved from "Hotelbar" to Cafe Trödel on Dresdener Str. in Kreuzberg behind Kottbusser Tor around Babylon). Sunday was interesting since Mr. James read 13 pages from his new book which is sort of autobiographical plus one of "The Ugly Americans" came up with something crazy!

The new season starts next week and we're all very excited whether Tom is right about, well, you know what... This will be the last time we focus on "Lost". Lots of potential to talk about Scotland, Charles Dickens and islands in general.

POETRY:

Berlin Night Life

Fuelled by cerebral fevers, elapsed dream sequences are driving races lasting a lifetime between buildings on marshlands.

Where marigolds flourish is no mans' land, illuminated by fireflies No woman's garden and no child's playground.

Nights are not just the time for sleep Past injuries start bleeding again, ghosts appear on walls, in future hallucinations of habitable lives, but trophies for adventurous visions, for utopia are

linked to the most valued lies of illusions, to trips into the deserts that offer faint Fata Morganas , 1001 nights' tales, erased by the dawn of the third millennium.

Berlin:

Nickelodeon at Tipi

Last night around town:

The M 41 metrobus line is a rather cool connection these days, as it carries you conveniently from one of Berlin's best gardening centres, Späth at Königsheider Weg, to Hauptbahnhof and touches quite a few of Berlin's sites on the way.

Last night we jumped off at Bundeskanzleramt and took the short walk alongside Suisse embassy through the minimalist part of what's left of Tiergarten to Tipi. Tickets are not exaxtly low rate around this location but on a couple of promo tickets amanda and friend enjoyed an extremely funny evening.

William and Wilma, British comedians in full command of their craft, portrayed "Great Lovers in History" by all means of variety. To say more would spoil the fun, if your'e in for hilarious nonsense and two hours of good laughs, go check it out - they're on 28.09. - 22.10.2006, the show starts at 20.30h. Tickets: 18 - 33 € For drink and food being early is worthwhile, note: prices are moderate to high.

October - Italian Movies on Tuesday

For film-buffs, those aspiring and of course, everybody interested - October Tuesdays will have a theme:

Each filmnight is going to be introduced by a couple of chapters of Martin Scorcese's "My voyage to Italy" ( Mio viaggio in Italia), his very personal trip into post-war Italian cinema. According to popular demand by sweet souls, i.e. those who care, the season opens on 3. Oct. with: "Juliet and the spirits", D.: Fellini, continues with Bertolucci's "1900" on 10. 10. (prepare for a long one!) 17.10. is going to be "Surprise night", as we will, the week before, in a, no doubt lively, yet result orientated discussion, determine which film to show next week. So far the Italian season closes with Visconti's "The Leopard", one of the proprietor's all time favourites. Don't loose heart, though: wer'e open for suggestions - how about extending the season - or plan ahead for a new one - with movies directed by Antonioni, Begnini, Coppola, Leone, Pasolini, Werthmüller...anyone else?
