Science Fiction in the year 2007

There are plans for relaunching the monthly science fiction reading and discussion group at Another Country.

Has Science Fiction turned into a historical novel? Has the writing changed? Where is the genre in the age of the internet and where is it going? What's going on with interactive fiction and the meta-storytelling of reality roleplaying games?

If you're interested in joining, info@anothercountry.de.

The Religious Experience of Philip K. Dick by Robert Crumb

philipkdickfans.com: "This feature about Philip Dick's "Valis" experience was published in Weirdo comic #17 from summer, 1986.

It is an interesting graphic interpretation of a series of events which happened to Dick in March of 1974. He spent the remaining years of his life trying to figure out what happened in those fateful months.

You will find all 8 pages of this story here. The file sizes are rather large (120-140K each) so that the text was readable and the detail visible. "

"Science Fiction & Fantasy downstairs!"

SF-Fan.de has a list of Second Hand SF Bookstores in Germany

Here is the entry about us:

Norman Spinrad got himself a camera

"I've been asked dozens of times every year for decades why the film of BUG JACK BARRON,to be made by Universal, directed by Costa-Gavras, and written by Harlan Ellison, was never made, and why many film-makers have been prevented from making it by the powers that be at the Black Tower. "
